Every time we have pups born at "HUNZA" and di "Ca'Bastiani" it is a great and exciting event. Partly because we do not breed dogs for profit plus having full time jobs our spare time is limited and partly because we believe in providing only the best care for puppies and their mothers thus we can afford to personally raise one or two litters per year only. For that reason we appreciate reservations in advance to help us plan coming year's matings.
We do, however, have few excellent brood bitches from our lines in care of other experienced breeders - this allows us to secure a puppy for every reservation and at the same time provides with more selection in colouring, gender and disposition to meet all requests.
We feel that there is no shortcuts when raising puppies - starting with the best possible parentage at "HUNZA" and "di Ca'Bastiani" puppies receive only top quality nutrition and dedicated care; we would rather have few healthy and valuable litters then several mediocre or sickly.
Our pups are born in the house (not in the pen or kennel) where expecting dam is moved few weeks prior whelping. She is being monitored and receives veterinary care before, during and after giving birth. Babies stay in the house for up to 5 weeks and have daily contact with people and family pets to assure their early socialization which we find essential for their future development into intelligent and agreeable individuals. After 5-6 weeks puppies and their dam are transferred to separate nursery kennel where they can exercise in the open and take advantage of the sun and fresh air. This process enables them to build strong bodies and learn canine social skills - at that time we introduce them to our adult dogs, let them explore terrain on our property - they can also familiarize themselves from the safety of enclosed runs with city traffic and sounds of the busy street. Pups are walked 3 times daily and always welcome to go back in the house. An important part of their day is playing with us - this gives us a chance to know their personalities to match them better with future homes as well as notice individual physical and mental development.
Puppies are placed with new owners after initial interview in order to find the best balance between expectations and personalities of both parties. We provide legal documents of the purchase - puppies are vaccinated, dewormed and vet checked before being offered to new owners. When need to be we provide thorough assistance in arranging safe shipping locally, internationally or even overseas. Also we provide lifetime assistance and advice - as a matter of fact, we would like to keep in touch with all new owners to participate in our puppies show careers and/or their lives as companions or workers as. At this time we offer puppies sired by our own studs and out of several outstanding females bred in Poland and abroad. All our puppies come from superior, proven and carefully selected breeding for outstanding performance both as prospect show dogs, companions and/or working dogs.
